Hey, I’m Corey. Welcome to my site! I want this site to serve as an online representation of myself. This is the place where you will find professional and personal projects I am working on, learn about the books I am reading, and gain some insight into who I am.
I am originally from East Providence, Rhode Island. I attended Rhode Island College, where I graduated with a B.A. in computer science and a minor in mathematics. Immediately following graduation, I moved to Boston to start my career. A few years and a few jobs later, I packed up and moved to Columbus, OH, where I plan on living for the foreseeable future. I should also mention I live with a cat and a dog.
I currently work at Smile as a software engineering manager. My professional interests have always been on the operational side software development. How to properly monitor and alert on large, complex systems is of special interest to me.
In my spare time, I like to play chess, play ukulele and piano, and sing! My favorite hobby will forever be learning. I consider myself a lifelong learner, especially in various social sciences. You can find me reading books on philosphy, economics, psychology, and business. Reading, being an active process, inspires me to also journal about what I learn.
